Siret is a legal adviser with extensive experience in both civil and administrative court proceedings. In disputes with the state, Siret has also represented clients at the European Court of Human Rights.
Siret is one of the leading experts in migration law in Estonia. She has participated in over 200 cases regarding the recruitment of foreign workers. Hence, she has established an extensive network of contacts among state authorities for solving issues related to the recruitment of foreign workers quickly and efficiently. Siret has represented a large number of clients in residence permit proceedings, including major foreign investors who have settled in Estonia as well as other entrepreneurs and highly qualified specialists working here.
Furthermore, Siret has considerable experience in solving legal issues for clients from the agriculture and fisheries sector, in particular in matters relating to the payment of EU subsidies and in disputes with various authorities regarding the recovery of subsidies.
The volume of the cases resolved by Siret testifies to her strong character and her efficiency and professionalism in providing legal advice. For instance, over the period 2014–2016, RASK participated in a state legal assistance project where clients were advised in more than 100 different administrative court cases under Siret’s leadership.
In the course of her career, Siret has also solved a number of complex issues related to family law and law of succession as well as resolved disputes concerning property rights.
Siret is a passionate athlete and a member of the trainers’ qualifications committee of the Estonian Equestrian Federation (a member of the Estonian Olympic Committee). Hence she is very well equipped for dealing with legal issues related to various sports. As an attorney-at-law, she has advised various subcommittees of the Olympic Committee on a variety of topics ranging from drafting internal regulations to solving anti-doping issues.
