Attorneys Birgit Aasa and Villy Lopman deliver presentations at a medical conference

The Estonian Chamber of Pharmacists held the conference “What sort of Pharmacy reform do we want?” on 28 September where RASK attorneys Birgit Aasa and Villy Lopman also delivered presentations.

Birgit Aasa analysed the broader legal environment related to pharmacy reform, focusing on the preparation and legal aspects of the reform.

In the framework of his report, Villy Lopman explains the key issues of the pharmacy reform dispute that has reached the Supreme Court, and which contained the precedent of the solution reached in the context of pharmacist-run pharmacies and the interpretation of the reform in general.

RASK Attorneys-at-Law recently represented Tamsalu Uus Apteek OÜ in a litigation against the Agency of Medicines that gained a lot of public attention as it also reached the Supreme Court of Estonia and achieved an influential solution for pharmacies during the transition phase of the ongoing pharmacy reform.

The immediate impact of the Supreme Court decision and the likely next step in the pharmacy reform will be addressed at a conference organized by the Estonian Chamber of Pharmacists, Estonian Pharmacists Association and Med24 in Pärnu.
