Tarmo Peterson trains Estonian judges on new legal amendments regarding restructuring

At a seminar organised by the Supreme Court on 26 May, RASK partner Tarmo Peterson provided training for Estonian judges on the newly adopted amendments to legislation on restructuring in connection with incorporating European Union Directive 2019/1023 into Estonian law.

The training day at the Supreme Court in Tartu was attended by 72 representatives of the judicial system and state legal institutions. The training was provided by members of the Expert Group on the Revision of the Reorganisation Act (attorney-at-law Anto Kasak, judge Kersti Kerstna-Vaks and RASK partner Tarmo Peterson), who also helped draft the amendments to the Act.

The new adopted act will significantly reform Estonian restructuring legislation, offering companies a more flexible and faster procedure for restructuring. It provides all the legal preconditions for a successful restructuring culture to emerge.
