RASK Attorneys-at-Law contribute to World Bank international PPP report

RASK Attorneys-at-Law assisted the World Bank in drafting the public and private sector partnership (PPP) international report “Procuring Infrastructure PPPs 2018” which is now also available to the public.

The report benchmarks the regulatory frameworks of 135 economies around the world against internationally recognized good practices in procuring PPPs, and identifying areas for improvement in the preparation, procurement and management of PPPs. The published World Bank report is an excellent overview for policy makers in the field, but also benefits new companies looking for export markets who need a comparative estimate of bureaucracy when investing in a new region.

The World Bank PPP Report shows that the regulation of public and private sector cooperation in Estonia, as in other developed countries, is highly competitive, especially in public procurement matters. However, in the preparatory phase and the execution of procurement contracts, the Estonian legislation leaves parties greater flexibility than most countries.

Attorneys-at-Law Tarmo Peterson, Timo Kullerkupp and attorney Maiki Virks assisted the World Bank.
