Research conducted by Karmen Pähkla to be published by Oxford Univesity Press

Happy to announce that research conducted by RASK attorney Karmen Pähkla on Estonian administrative law is to be published by Oxford University Press, in autumn 2020.

"Good Administration and the Council of Europe: Law, Principles and Effectiveness" is a book put together by top European admistrative law experts Ulrich Stelkens and Agnė Andrijauskaitė to examine the existence and effectiveness of written and unwritten standards of good administration developed within the framework of the Council of Europe and the case law of the European Court of Human Rights. The book analyses the sources and functions of these standards and seeks to uncover how deeply are they rooted in the domestic legal systems of the Member States.

RASK attorney Karmen Pähkla, together with Tartu Circuit Court judge Madis Ernits, wrote a chapter in the book that focuses on how the legislative efforts of the Council of Europe have influenced the development of the principles of Estonian administrative law.
